ABB ACS355 Machinery drives | 999 Inverters
The ACS355 from ABB UK is a high performance machinery drive designed for system integrators, original equipment manufacturer and panel builders. It is optimised for use in material handling, food and beverage applications, processing of rubber, plastic and wood applications. It is available for three phase motors from 0.37 to 22kW.
Where machines are designed to meet customer specifications, the ACS355‘s design flexibility ensures optimal motor control performance for advanced machinery applications. Integrated direct torque control (DTC) gives you highly accurate control for virtually any motor, and integrated safety features and ready-made application control programs are built on user-friendliness.
Dual channel safe torque-off interface to SIL3/PL e.
An onboard controller provides eight steps of programming, reducing the need for a PLC, and ready-made control programs are available for different applications. The drive offers diverse functionality to cater for the most demanding needs. The drive is also equipped with a dual channel safe torque-off interface to SIL3/PL e.
The enclosure is protected to IP20 The higher IP66 class variant meets all of the relevant hygiene requirements for the food and beverage industry.
Assistant control panel
The panel cover protects the drive when no control panel is used, and the ACS355 is delivered with a panel cover as standard. There are two optional control panels available: the basic control panel features a single line numeric display, and can be used to control the drive, set the parameter values or copy them from one drive to another or view changes.
The Assistant control panel features a multilingual alphanumeric display for easy drive programming. The control panel has various assistants and a built-in help function to guide the user. It includes a real-time clock, which is used during fault logging and in controlling the drive, such as start/stop. The control panel can be used for copying parameters for backup or for downloading to another drive. A large graphical display and soft keys make it extremely easy to navigate.
Fieldbus interfaces
Extensive range of plug-in fieldbus interfaces, allowing connection to Profibus, DeviceNet, CanOpen, Modbus RTU and Ethernet and many others.
