New Mitsubishi HMI GOT remote access through web browser.
Using the new mobile function available in Mitsubishi Electric’s new GOT2000 series HMI GT27/25 models, users can remotely monitor and operate devices through a web browser. Up to five simultaneous connections are possible and each client can display different screens.
HMIs changed the face of manufacturing when they became popular over twenty years ago, and now they are a standard feature of every production machine and manufacturing line. They offer improved operator control and low-cost visualisation of machines and plant. They improve production yield, and reduce down-time through faster identification of faults.
More recently, HMI functionality was enhanced with the integration of smartphone features such as gesture control and multi-touch and this has been further extended by remote operation and web integration.
Web browser
The GOT Mobile function on the Mitsubishi GT27/25 HMIs enables users to remotely monitor and operate devices using a web browser (Google Chrome or Safari) simultaneously. Mitsubishi’s GT Works3 screen design software allows the system designer to Easily change screen sizes depending on used devise.
Up to five computers, tablets or smartphones, each showing different information: screens displayed with different browsers or tabs are included in the connection count. Where required, users can prevent simultaneous operation on the same network.
Wireless LAN
The wireless LAN communication function supports access point mode.
The separate wireless LAN communication unit (GT25-WLAN) is used as an access point by configuring simple settings in GT Works3 Version screen design software. The GOT and mobile devices can communicate directly without using a separate access point.
Integrate production visualisation systems
As an additional feature the GOT Mobile function can be used to easily build a production visualisation system (Andon system) to inform about production details like manufactured units, faulty products, target quantity for the shift or day and many more.
The GOT Mobile function improves visualisation accessibility and reduces total cost of ownership. The status of equipment can be monitored remotely with your smartphone. When alarms occur, the user can view maintenance manuals online to quickly check error details and find solutions.
Monitor production from your Office
Alternatively, the status of equipment can be monitored on an PC via GOT75/25 HMIs on the production lines. When problems occur, the cause can often be identified without visiting the production facility. One PC can be connected to several GOTs to check the condition of equipment. For example, the status of equipment can be monitored using tablets from outside of the clean room, and even large-scale systems can be easily monitored.
