Schneider Electric’s Altivar inverter drive ATV212 is designed specifically for the fluid management applications experienced in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and pumping (HVAC) in buildings.
The Altivar 212 is a variable speed drive for 3-phase asynchronous motors from 0.75 kW to 75 kW and designed to achieve a reduction in energy consumption of up to70% compared to a conventional control system.
Its eco-friendly design complies with directives such as RoHS, WEEE, etc. relating to environmental protection. It includes Integrated EMC filters, categories C1 to C3 depending on model and Schneider’s advanced anti-harmonic technology enables a THDI < 30% to be achieved
Suitable for centralised control
Integrated communications enable the Altivar 212 drive to connect simply to communication networks or Building Management System (BMS) by offering connection to building supervision network using embedded protocols.
Included are the communication buses most commonly used for BMS: Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1 and BACnet. LonWorks is optional. An integral RJ45 communication port for the Modbus serial link is mainly assigned to the remote graphic display terminal.
ATV 212 allows the instant viewing of the energy consumption, and other HVAC specific alert functions include failure detection for belt breakage, pump running dry, phase failure, supply fault, enabling faster maintenance. Other Dedicated building functions included in the drive are: fire mode, register monitoring, and mechanical protection function.
