New Mitsubishi FX3S PLC | Powerful entry level controller
The new FX3S PLC from Mitsubishi Electric UK completes the market-leading FX3 compact PLC range with its most powerful micro PLC. FX3S uses the power and flexibility of the existing FX3G & FX3U high performance compact PLCs but in a micro format Mitsubishi to create a new Premium Micro PLC.
FX3s has increased memory capacity and processor speed, and outperforms logic block in both price and performance. It is backwards compatible with the previous FX1S.
FX3s includes popular functions from the FX3 range including an inverter driver that allows users to control a low cost network of up to 8 Mitsubishi inverter for materials handling, HVAC and other applications. Base units are available up to 30 I/O FX3S CPU which includes built-in analogues and is ideal for simple temperature or flow control systems.
The FX3S can be expanded by using the existing, slim FX3 ADP modules, offering a choice of analogue and communication options including Ethernet and RS422/485 serial. Optional Ethernet connectivity allows the FX3Sto operate as intelligent data logger or distributed I/O. FX3S supports 116 applied instructions including floating point.
FX3S is programmed by the Mitsubishi’s GXWorks2 software allowing the designer to choose a simple ladder style programming method, or the more advanced structured style. FX3S is also included in the comprehensive iQ Works navigator allowing users to easily configure systems using Mitsubishi’s GOT series HMIs and the FX3 PLCs in one software package.
