Designed for use with both passenger and goods lifts, the ATV71Lift inverter drive series from Schneider Electric UK  has have been designed in close collaboration with lift manufacturers, installers and maintenance engineers.

The precision and durability of the Altivar 71Lift in lift applications is the result of the of expertise acquired by Schneider Electric in a wide range of motor speed control applications.  They are suitable for variable speed drives for synchronous and asynchronous motors with or without encoders.

Altivar 71 Lift includes many application-specific functions such as power removal and the angle test for synchronous motors which are unique to lifts.  Safety functions ensure safe and comfortable operation for users, as well as providing protection for both users and lift equipment in the event of a fault.

ATV71L offers quick start-up and easy diagnostics with the a multi-language graphic display terminal; lift configuration menu with dedicated lift functions for greater comfort and safety, for energy saving control of energy efficient permanent motors from 200 to 480V.

Maximum passenger comfort

– Smooth starting and stopping

– Fluid movements

– Optimum speed (minimum travel time)

– Accurate stopping

– Silent operation

Benefits for the building owner

Schneider Lift inverters offer greater energy savings achieved by optimising drive power consumption, which in turn also leads to reduced machine wear due to fewer mechanical shocks.  Wide range of integrated (Modbus/CANopen)and optional BMS communication protocols options which include: Modbus TCP, Modbus/Uni-Telway, EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, Profibus DP V1, InterBus S, CC-Link

Simplified servicing

Ease of maintenance with a monitoring menu, which includes distance travelled, number of journeys, etc. and a diagnostics menu which provides a list of faults and their context (lift car speed, line voltage, motor current, etc.).  Other lift specific features include:

– Advanced functions: Half-floor control, inspection mode, rollback management, direct to floor, evacuation with UPS, load measurement, deferred thermal stop, etc.

– Simplicity of programming: intuitive menu for lift installers with application-specific terms and units (kg, cm, m/s, m/s² etc.)

– Maintenance without interrupting operation

– Wide choice of encoders

– Compliance with lift standards EN 12015 and EN 12016 without external filter
