New IMO Jaguar energy saving drives for water and HVAC industries
IMO Precision Controls UK has release two new Jaguar energy saving inverter drives with functions incorporated specifically to support HVAC (VXH) and water industry applications (VXA). Both torque vector controlled models have been designed from scratch in consultation with industry experts worldwide and satisfy the specific requirements of those industries.
Both ranges incorporate multi-language keypads, built-in RFI filtering as standard, and drives up to 90kW also include built-in DC line reactors. Other features common to both are a real-time clock, built-in PLC functionality, PID controllers, automatic energy saving, and a cumulative kWh data logger.
IMO Jaguar VXH for HVAC applications (0.75kW – 710kW)
The Jaguar VXH is an energy saving drive designed to meet the demands of the building services industry. To simplify installation it is available in IP21 or IP55 and a logical choice for air handling units, cooling fans and circulating pumps.
HVAC specific funstions include wet-bulb temperature presumption control, fire mode, filter clog detection and cleaning function, broken belt detection. The drive supports a wide range of analogue and digital input options and with BACnet MS/TP, Modbus RTU and Metasys N2 communications built in as standard and Lonworks, Ethernet, Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen and CC-Link as plug in option cards the VXH can be easily integrated into a BMS system.
IMO Jaguar VXA for Water applications (0.75kW – 710kW)
The Jaguar VXA (AQUA) has features and functions tailored to satisfy the process and energy conservation requirements of the water industry. These include cascading pump control for controlling multiple pumps with one inverter, and linearization to reduce terminal pressures during periods of low demand and thus save water by reducing the possibility of leakage. The VXA is suitable for hot and cold water supply pumps and large scale water infrastructure projects.
Water industry specific functions in the VXA(AQUA) include anti-ragging / anti jamming, maximum starts per hour control, dry pump detection, check valve protection, end of curve detection, linearization function, and wet-bulb temperature presumption control.
Applications within the building services and water industries require 24/7 operation and all IMO Jaguar Drives have a 10 year design life and are covered by IMO’s unique 5 year warranty. With many energy saving applications offering payback periods of between 12 – 18 months IMO’s 5 year warranty means that they are the only drives company to underwrite energy savings.
