The GOT1000 HMI from Mitsubishi Electric UK is more than just a pretty face

It is the added capabilities that set the GOT 1000 HMIs apart from competitive products. Instead of simply displaying data, these enhanced Mitsubishi HMIs deliver a genuine perspective on your automation process and provide a platform to solve the many production problems.

The GOT1000 Series of HMI offers the comprehensive range in terms of the screen sizes, display quality, usability and communications options you would expect from a leading manufacturer, but it also provides additional features that help reduce downtime, enable fast recovery from simple errors, increase availability and boost production efficiency.

Integrated PLC backup

One key feature is the ability to back up the PLC program within the GOT terminal. If a PLC CPU should fail and need replacing the program can be restored directly from the HMI, saving time and effort, and ensuring production is restarted as quickly as possible.

Jump to the error function

Rather than simply flagging up errors, the GOT 1000 helps reduce downtime by providing a one-touch ladder jump function that shows exactly where in the program the error exists and its cause. The engineer can quickly identify and fix the problem directly from the HMI, again saving the time and effort of checking the ladder program on a separate PC. Full ladder editing is also possible from the HMI.

For system programming, set-up, configuration and diagnostics of other machine components, the GOT provides a transparent function that enables PC connected to the HMI to link to other connected Mitsubishi Electric automation products such as PLCs, inverters and servo drives.

Enhanced data logging

The enhanced data logging capabilities of the GOT1000 series HMIs enable data to be logged from remotely connected devices such as PLCs and temperature controllers, with the HMI’s built-in RAM able to store up to 2,000 data points. Data can then be stored SD card or USB memory sticks or transferred to a SQL database via an optional MES interface.
