Two new wide screen HMIs from Mitsubishi Electric benefit from optional antibacterial protection sheets to safeguard operators. The new Graphic Operator Terminals (GOT) are also ready for remote connection where user access is limited. Remote connection functions like Soft GOT enable remote maintenance to access the local screen, where GOT Mobile allows operators to obtain live data on hand-held devices to improve availability and access.

New wide screen HMIs

GT25 is a 12.1 inch enhanced specification wide screen HMIs enables machine builders to improve their system design. The compact new range features narrow bezels with frame colours of smart silver or cool black.  The wide screen TFT display shows operators more information about their applications and processes.

It also offers dual Ethernet ports, RS-232 and RS422/485 plus CC-Link IE Field basic communications. The GT25 includes a sound output interface, and wireless LAN is available using a separate communications module.

The new GOT widescreen HMIs are also ready to support extra displays to provide more information . Also, for operators needing real-time remote access for maintenance, GOT Mobile provides live data.

GOT GT27

Improvements to the GT27 include an increase in operating memory from 128 to 256 MB. This extended function means it is now possible to write many more screens with extended functions.

Furthermore, an optional module allows the GT27 to output to extra displays to show more information from the GOT. This is helpful for users needing a large amount of overflow information at the same time.

Antibacterial protection

In further enhancements to support safe-working practices there are also new antibacterial, antiviral protection sheets as options for GT 2512 and standard GT27 and GT25 GOTs in 12.1, 10.4 and 8.4 inch sizes. These sheets help reduce disinfection work by adopting SIAA certified sheets with anti-virus and anti-bacterial features. The sheets, which use RIKEN TECHNOS’ RIKEGUARD, inactivate 99.99% of viruses and reduce bacterial growth to less than 1/100, with 10+ years of performance in typical environments.

SoftGOT with GOT Mobile

GT SoftGOT2000 is the HMI software that runs on a PC or panel PC as an alternative to the GOT panels. Like the GOTs, they can track the information of industrial devices connected to a PC or network.

Adding the GOT mobile function allows the monitoring of systems that use GT Soft GOT to visualise the entire factory. It supports checking of equipment status via on-site GOT or GT SoftGOT on remote devices. Remote devices include web browsers on mobile devices like tablets and mobile phones and remote PCs. Many information devices can access the GOT or SoftGOT at the same time, and users can view and operate different screens on each device.

Adding SoftGOT to check equipment status on mobile devices ensures the smooth performance of production and maintenance work.
