Gateway connects any automation device to CC-Link IE Field

HMS has extended its Anybus CompactCom 40-series of embedded interfaces to enable any automation device to connect to the CC-Link IE Gigabit Field network. By implementing the Anybus CompactCom concept, users get secure real-time access to CC-Link IE Field with minimal engineering and implementation time. Anybus gateways are fully certified by the CC-Link user organization (CLPA).

CompactCom C40 is a high-performance network communication solution on a single chip. It consists of the Anybus NP40 network processor loaded with the software needed to connect an industrial device to a fieldbus or Industrial Ethernet network. It offers multi-network connectivity with a single development project, limiting development efforts to an absolute minimum. Once the Anybus concept is implemented, it is easy to migrate to another network or form factor, re-using your development efforts.

Fast communication with CC-Link IE Field

CompactCom is designed to be embedded into a host automation device to provide a fast connection enable fast connection with any automation network. Designing in the Anybus CompactCom into an automation device is quick thanks to the accompanying example driver code and configuration file (CSP+) provided by HMS.

Designed for slave communication on CC-Link IE Field networks, Anybus CompactCom can handle up to 1536 bytes of process data in each direction making it suitable for most slave devices. The module supports generic device profiles and comes with a dual port switch implemented in HMS Anybus NP40.

Other form factors
The Anybus CompactCom 40-series offers CC-Link IE Field connectivity in two formats, and both certified by the CLPA: the module format enables instant connectivity for existing CompactCom users by simply plugging in the CC-Link IE Field module. The brick format, ideal for users who have limited space or want to add their own choice of network connectors.

In addition to the CompactCom, HMS offers a range of gateway solutions suitable for any CC-Link communication network including stand-alone Anybus Communicator gateways for connecting any serial device, and Anybus X-gateways for connecting CC-Link and CC-Link IE Field to 11 other industrial networks.
