Graphic Operation Terminal (GOT 1000 Series)

The GOT1000 family from Mitsubishi Electric UK comprises four series of HMI to cover demanding applications and tight budgets.  They are GT10; GT11, GT15, and GT16, and they range from 3.7″ text displays to 15″ Ethernet connected multimedia operator panels.

Manufacturing facilities are being designed to produce optimum speed and flexibility. While programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are being used to implement the required control functions, there is an additional new and developing field of application. This is where the user needs to have direct and immediate access to system data and even system configuration parameters.

The Mitsubishi Electric range of operator interface terminals offers many varying degrees of functional support.   Text and graphical displays are complemented by supportive data control operations. Easy-to-use data access units provide low cost dedicated access to a PLCs information and the powerful and sophisticated Graphical Operator Terminals (GOTs) can be used in conjunction with Mitsubishi Electric PLCs to both monitor and control entire factories.

In addition to touch screen and colour options, Mitsubishi Electric GOTs incorporate many advanced features for easier process control including graphical representation of process information, as well as the ability to easily print directly from the GOT.

The entry level range is called the GT10 Series and comprises eight models with touch displays from 3.7″ to 5.7″

Micro GT1020 & GT1030

This compact and versatile micro GOT series offers a number of powerful features. Different fonts and languages can be used for the displays and when an error occurs the background can be light-up in red to catch the operator’s attention.

The bright LED displays provide clear imaging  in a broad range of applications and external lighting conditions. Equipped with a slim design depth of 27 mm,  the GT1020 also conforms to IP67 and is available with either white or black frames.

Users can select from 24V DC and 5V DC versions, and the 5V version can be powered  directly from the FX series PLC Serial communication is either RS422 or RS 232.

GT1045 & GT1055

The new GT1040 and GT1050 provide a 2-colour (16 scales of blue/white) STN display, whilst the GT1045 and GT1055 provide a 256 colour STN display. The GT1040/GT1045 have a 4.7″ screens and the GT1050/GT1055 have 5.7″ screens.  All are touch displays and feature a graphical resolution of 32Ox240 pixels and are touch displays.

The internal memory, available for projects and system data, is 3 MB, and double the memory of a GT1030. Using an option module it is possible to save GOT project data. Suitable connection cables for the rear interfaces (e.g. USB, RS422, and RS232) are also available.

Wide compatibility

In addition to connection to Mitsubishi Electric’s automation products, the GOT1000 Series also connects to devices of third party manufacturers and PCs can be connected.

The integrated high-speed USB interface (not available for GT1020/GT1030) allows the programming of Mitsubishi Electric PLCs, frequency inverters and servo amplifiers by using transparent mode.

All GT10 series HMIs can be easily programmed using the PC based GT Designer3 software package. Panels can be mounted and used horizontal or vertical, which increases the flexibility in planning and application.
