Omron Automation UK offers two compact two ranges of compact programmable controllers for cost effective solutions.  The NT11 has a text display and  twenty-two programmable function keys: the NT21 offers a 117 x 63mm (260 x 140 dot) touch display.

NT11

The NT11 is a function key HMI with four text lines that can each hold up to twenty  characters. The NT11’s twenty two customisable function keys are suitable for applications in harsh environments such as gluing or painting stations.

Recommended for simple use and where numerical data entry is frequently required, the NT11 has a parallel printer connection and a serial port for connection to a PLC. The long-life LED backlight that has a life expectancy of at least 50,000 hours.

Print or view production stats

Data such as the production status and production results can be printed out, leaving a record on paper which can be used as a daily report. (The NT11S has a printer port. One screen only is printed.) The HMI also displays bar graphs to allow the progress of processes to be checked at a glance.

Up to 115,200 bps supported between CS1/CJ1 PLCs.

Integral Numeric Key Pad

The display, numeric keys, and function keys are all integrated into the front panel, which is convenient for designers. The key layout is ergonomically designed for ease of use. There is a choice of black or beige faceplate frame.

Key titles can be marked on the function key sheet in accordance with the applications of the keys: the sheet can be taken out from the side face of the terminal. The front panel of the terminal has protection to IP65.

Password screens cannot be accessed unless the correct password is entered. This means that the operations that can be performed can be restricted according to the operator.

Display History Record Helps in Analysis of Machine Faults

When the display history record function is set as a screen attribute, the time, the screen number, and a comment are recorded in the terminal’s memory every time the relevant screen is displayed. This display history can be printed by issuing a print instruction from the host, and is useful for machine fault analysis.

Programming

The easy programming software for the NT series works with PLC symbols. NTST software is used to design applications and includes many different objects like pumps and pipes in its symbol library. This software can import addresses from CX-Programmer. It features a character map to design characters and can be used to place bitmaps in an application. Programs are up/download and simulate on/off states and blinking of objects to check applications before downloading.
