Mitsubishi Electric UK has announced a new series of simple and low cost operator panels.  The new GS Series touch panels will be exhibited for the first time on the Mitsubishi Electric stand 380 in hall 7 at the 2014 SPS-IPC-Drives fair in Nuremberg from 25 to 27 November.

The cost-effective  new GS HMI Series offers a simple and flexible entry-level option for newcomers to the world of machine visualisation. Besides all the standard basic functions, it also includes additional ones such as data logging, FA transparent mode and operator authentication.

Two versions: 7″ and 10″

The two panels share a common specification apart from the size of the display.  The GS2107-WTBD has seven inch and the GS2110-WTBD a ten inch 65536 colour TFT touch screen  display with front of panel IP65F protective rating.

Transparent gateway  function

Sequence programs and parameters can easily be modified at the worksite  The GOT SIMPLE acts as a transparent gateway to  enable programming, start up, and adjustment of  Mitsubishi industrial devices. Users do not have to bother with changing cable connections.

Logging function

GOT SIMPLE collects and manages the data from multiple connected industrial devices. The data can be collected at an arbitrary timing and can be used for data analysis and feedback

Start from the SD card

Useful for replacement or maintenance the screen data and all  the necessary system data to  make a GS HMIS operate can be transferred to a memory card in advance from an office PC.  By inserting the memory card, the GS HMIs can be started quickly.

Recipe functions

Recipe information such as material blend and machine conditions are saved in the GS HMI. This information can be written from the HMI to programmable controllers.  New data can also be read and stored in the HMI.
