GT SoftGT2000 is a PC visualisation software package from Mitsubishi Electric UK that allows GOT functions to be executed on a personal computer. Similar to the GOT2000, this visualisation package complements the GOT HMI hardware units. It combines the advantages of the GOT Series with the flexibility of a PC, and the ability to use existing GOT applications without any changes.

The PC implementation is able to store large amounts of data, send e-mails or mobile SMS text messages and exchange files via FTP.  Like the GOT2000, a variety of industrial devices can be connected and monitored. The GT SoftGOT2000 Version1 software is included in GT Works3 and is licensed using a USB flash drive.

Monitor the production site from a remote location

GT SoftGOT2000 can be used to monitor the production site from an office or remote location. Users can collect information when a problem occurs, and take immediate action. The GOT project file running at a production site can be reused as the GT SoftGOT2000 project file to reduce design costs. GT SoftGOT2000 allows remote monitoring of devices connected on the worksite. This feature is available by connecting the GT SoftGOT2000 with the GOT via Ethernet  which then synchronises the devices and shares the project data.

Easy project design and management

GT SoftGOT gives the programmer the freedom to design the applications in the same way as for a hardware HMI, but with the advantage of full PC functionality.  The additional storage offered by the PC can be used for recipes or scheduled and timed actions, and be edited with MS Excel.

The programmer can use existing GOT2000 HMI applications without any changes, providing direct access to the data. This saves time and development overheads while making it possible to start building applications on a PC-based control unit.

The control of multiple SoftGOT modules is possible using GT SoftGOT2000 Commander.  Multiple GT SoftGOT2000 modules can be efficiently managed using the easily implemented link function.
