New Omron NA Series HMI for UK in 2014

Omron UK introduces next generation NA Series HMI for 2014

At the 2013 SPS- IPC- Drives Fair in Nuremberg Omron presented its new machine automation offering, focusing in particular on the Sysmac Automation Platform and introducing their next generation of NA Series HMIs.

Using Sysmac platform, project data and controller variables from Omron’s NJ controllers in addition to separate vision systems and even safety controllers, can be connected through Sysmac I/O to the new NA HMI. All the data from these different devices can be accessed using the HMI screen.  Using Sysmac Studio, system designers can access the controller, all the I/O, and networks to design the operator interface.

Viewable with iPad app

Also available is Sysmac Remote Viewer, an iPad application that allows operators and engineers to operate and monitor the NA HMI and resolve problems immediately by connecting and seeing exactly what the local operator sees from anywhere in the world. It also supports connection to Omron’s NS and NB HMIs.  Typical uses are expected to include: trouble shooting, identify causes of problems with the machine remotely; monitoring multiple machines from one place, and checking the status of local and remote machines.

The NA HMI said to be is dynamic, intuitive and predictive, making industrial machines more attractive and competitive. The Omron Sysmac HMI enables faster, more efficient control and monitoring. The design has been based on customer applications requirements, to offer a future-proofed, scalable platform that will evolve with changing needs, allowing real time reaction to events.  Featuring:

– Complete functionality scalable with widescreen across 7”, 9”, 12”, 15” range

– High resolution (1280 × 800 pixel for 12” and 15”, 800 × 480 pixel for 7” and 9”)

– Available with black or silver bezel with front of panel RUN/ERR indicator

– Programmable function buttons

– Resistive touch screen single touch – ideal for environments with gloves etc.

– SD Card and 2 × USB slots

– 2 Ethernet ports (One for factory, one for office network) and a Serial interface

NA HMI from Omron UK will be available from 999 HMIs later in 2014
