i3C mini combines a PLC and operator panel (HMI) with Ethernet access
i3C Mini is an all-in-one controller (PLC + HMI) that completes i3 Cube series of IMO intelligent control stations. One of the new features to be included in the i3C Mini is a built-in Modbus TCP Ethernet port.
i3 Cube is a robust and reliable control product range that combines a traditional controller, operator interface and networking into an integrated, all-in-one unit programmed by a single free IEC61131-3 compliant software package.
i3C Mini is based on the existing i3C, but in smaller package similar in size to i3B. It has a 3.5″ TFT 320 x 240 Colour Touch screen capable of displaying 65535 Colours in QVGA quality, MicroSD™ slot for up to 32GB memory card.
Modbus TCP/IP
In addition to Modbus TCP embedded Ethernet, other communications options include RS 232, RS485 and CANbus. The specification includes a real-time clock, user defined function keys, optional modem, and free configuration software.
A GSM modem expansion card is available as an option, as is i3 Portal. i3Portal is a low-cost Windows based application to enabling users to view and to access remote i3 controllers via a PC. This works alongside i3e transfer which transfers files between a PC and remote i3 controllers.
Data logging is made easy by wizards within the programming software and the option to connect to 2TB flash drives means large volumes of data can be stored or passed over a network for further processing.
