ABB’s drives and motors swappage scheme, allows companies to trade in their old products from any manufacturer for new ABB drives. The scheme offers at least 17.5 percent discount off published list prices for new drives from 0.12 kW to 400 kW when old equivalent products from any manufacturer are traded in.

The Process

New drives and motors are inherently more efficient than their predecessors and can provide significant energy savings and CO2 reductions when replacing older equipment. In order to get the correct equipment for your installation, call 999 Inverters who can assess your application and offer you expert advice.

This may involve carrying out an energy appraisal of the motor-driven applications across a plant or process, will help us identify the potential energy savings and CO2 reductions you can achieve by installing new ABB drives.

The appraisal identifies applications where efficiency can be improved upon, then quantifies how much energy you can save along with how much you can reduce CO2 by installing new drives and/or replacing drives within your plant.

If the application justifies a replacement drive ABB will visit your site and provide guidance on any specific engineering that is needed, including: fuses; cabling; dimensioning, and mechanical modifications.

Savings

We will replace any drive or motor from any manufacturer with an ABB equivalent and you will receive at least 17.5 percent discount off the ABB list price. Take a look at the ABB Drives & Motors catalogue and see what you could save. Offer is only valid against old for new drives and motors.

Recycling

Once installation is complete, ABB will dispose of your old equipment in accordance with the latest environmental legislation.  Where recycling is not possible ABB will properly dispose of redundant products.

Once the drive has been removed for recycling, ABB issues a certificate that can be used for environmental audits by end users complying with ISO 14001.
