By integrating a PLC and HMI into a single compact  controller, the  IMO i3 series reduce equipment costs and eliminate the time needed install and combine the functions of separate devices.

3 year warranty

With a combination of digital and analogue I/O, and thermocouple and PT100 inputs, the i3 controllers are suitable for both process control and factory automation applications. Remote I/O points can also be added and the whole systems benefits from IMO’s three-year warranty.

Two compact models are available, the i3A and i3B.  The i3A model features a 128 x 64 pixel LCD display and programmable IP65 function keys; the i3B offers a high-contrast 160 x 128 pixel touch screen and four programmable function keys and both are suitable for text and graphics.

Measuring 96 x 96 and 58 deep (standard 92mm cut-out) the i3 high level of functionality makes the unit the most flexible and cost-effective in its class. In addition to a choice of digital and analogue I/O configurations, the i3 includes: PID for process control; PWM for stepper motor control; networking options; recipe, alarm, timer, micro SD and high-speed counter functions, all of which are supported by free software.

The i3 Series offers two multi-function serial communications ports that can be used for programming, I/O expansion and connecting ancillary devices such as printers.  Other options include GSM modem or Ethernet port for higher-level communications with servers or PCs.  The Ethernet port is also available for remote data collection via GPRS, as well as SMS messaging, making the i3 a powerful alarm monitor for unmanned outstations.

The i3 conforms to CE, UL and c-UL international standards.
