D700 concept is Mitsubishi Electric UK’s entry level inverter drive and offers users assured and reliable performance from a flexible compact low cost drive family.  The range is for 220/240V single phase supply from 0.1 to 2.2kW and for 380/480V three phase from 0.4 to 7.5kW.   Called the micro drive by Mitsubishi, they are simple to install, setup and operate.

Spring clamp terminals offer simplified cabling and parameterisation software FR-Configurator ensures fast setup. The integrated Digital Dial gives the user direct access to all important parameters through a LED display.  An integrated emergency stop function makes the FR-D700 suitable for a wide range uses such as feeders, conveyor drives and gates and doors as well as sophisticated applications on machine tools. Side-by-side mounting ensures for compact installations.

Failure safety with self-diagnostics

This inverter actively monitors its own functional safety. If, for example, the fan rpm decreases to 50 %, a pre-alarm is triggered. An internal measuring program monitors the ageing of the capacitors and an operating hours counter enables the operator to plan the best time for servicing. Protection and overload functions like the phase failure monitoring system for both the input and output circuits ensure trouble-free operation.

Integrated emergency stop function

The FR-D700 series has an emergency stop input for safe shutdown. This ensures safe operation in compliance with the European MachineryDirectivewithout installation of a second protection mechanism. The FR-D700  conforms to the ISO13849-1 (EN954-1) cat. 3 and IEC60204-1 cat. 0 standards.
