Schneider Electric hoisting control for cranes using Altivar 71 and ATV IMC: Part 4

Construction cranes: Tower cranes with cabin

This architecture suits complex installations using accurate hoisting machines that require variable speed drives in all movements (hoisting, trolley and slewing).  An embedded CANopen fieldbus simplifies installation and performance.

Crane control and safety functions can be included in the by using an ATV-IMC drive controller to provide dedicated hoisting functions to increase the productivity of your crane and reduce risks.

This controller provides a single software environment that uses pre-defined hoisting library for faster commissioning  and simpler diagnostics

Variable speed drive keypad display can be used to show information, warning or error messages in the event of maintenance issues. And external access to information is provided via the embedded Ethernet Modbus TCP connection, or through web pages in the ATV-IMC drive controller.
