Mitsubishi Electric is constantly researching and applying the latest technologies to its range of Automation products. Existing products are improved and new products and range extensions are developed. These enhancements bring greater performance, improved efficiency, increased operational life and new functions to simplify complex tasks.
Mitsubishi recognises the importance of backward compatibility when it makes these changes and ensures there is always an upgrade path. Simple transition from any of the previous generation hardware products into the latest generation can be achieved with only minor alterations needed. Backward compatibility is a fundamental design principle.
Mitsubishi’s automation systems products have an exceptionally long service life which means that users may have two or three generations of products operating in their plant at the same time.
