Variable speed inverter drives and other electrical devices are designed to operate at their rated ambient temperature.  Depending on the product this can be from 25 to 50°C.  However, the temperature inside a panel will be significantly higher than the ambient air temperature, and without adequate ventilation the equipment inside will need to be de-rated.
