New Mitsubishi GOT2000 encourages human interaction

Designed to meet the needs of the automation user, the GOT2000 from Mitsubishi Electric UK boasts advanced functionality, high quality displays and an intuitive operating system  with tablet-like operability.  It is the attention to detail however, that differentiates it from other HMIs.

The front panel includes a human sensor that automatically detects an operator approaching the unit and displays the screen. When no one is around, the backlight turns off to save energy.  The use of long life cycle LED backlighting minimises maintenance and replacement costs.

The front panel with its new simple linear design and motif is sleek and complements any machine design. A front opening IP66 USB port allows users to Transfer screen data or read the data to or from the GOT2000 using the USB memory without opening the cabinet.  A USB mouse and keyboard connection is also supported.

GOT2000 is suitable for applications in any industry and a new white model provides an additional colour option where the flush frame is supplied without a USB port to simplify cleaning.  It can also be mounted vertically for extra flexibility when installed in confined spaces.

Multi-touch/gestures

GOT2000 HMIs deliver tablet like usability with the introduction of multi-touch and gestures, even when wearing gloves. Screen gestures enable users to easily enlarge screens for better visualisation and easy operation of small switches. After enlarging, users can scroll across the display.

Object gestures allow specific objects to be enlarged, scrolled or flicked, including historical data lists, alarm displays, trend graphs and documents.  The screens also allow two-point pressing for simultaneous operation of two switches on important operations such as ‘interlock release’ and ‘start’, eliminating the need for external panel hardware.

Seamless gateway to many devices

The GOT2000 offers seamless connectivity to Mitsubishi Electric automation devices such as PLCs, variable speed drives, servo drives and robots, simplifying automation system set up.

Inbuilt Ethernet communications means users can operate the GOT2000 remotely from a PC (VNC Server) or even from a tablet or portable terminal. An MES interface option enables the GOT2000 to transmit data collected from PLCs and other automation devices directly to higher level system databases, eliminating the need for gateway PCs or complex programming.

Further the GOT2000 comes with the “FA transparent” function that enables users to link from a PC through the HMI to any supported connected automation products.
