New 7″ hose-proof HMI GOT2507T from Mitsubishi Electric

hose-proof HMI

Mitsubishi Electric has launched a new hose-proof HMI for harsh and demanding applications. The GOT2507T-WTSD 7″ operator terminal offers an extended operating temperature range of -20°C to +65°C and IP67F/IP66F protection. Furthermore, it has a UV resistant screen for harsh and demanding applications.

Hose-proof HMI construction

The new terminal needs no additional protective measures for wash/hose-down with high pressure water. It is also suitable for use indoor or in power equipment located outdoors. These features make it suitable for a most industries, including power, food and beverage and machine building.

Most HMIs offer operating temperature ranges from 0-55°C. The expantended temperature range of the GOT2507T-WTSD of-20°C to +65°C makes them suitable for harsher environments, but without needing heaters or cooling fans. This reduces operating costs for food and beverage manufacturers and in power industry applications. Furthermore, its rugged construction also offers greater flexibility for deployment when encountering extreme temperatures.

Suitable for direct sunlight applications

For applications in direct sunlight, the GOT2507T-WTSD offers enhanced resistance to UV rays. A high brightness LCD panel also enhances on-screen clarity even under strong sunlight, and a special coating cuts glare. Moreover, a metal housing reinforces the structure of the front panel for environments subject to shock or vibration.

Features include multiple communication interfaces, comprising of two Ethernet ports, wireless LAN interface, USB, RS232 and RS422/485. In addition, an audible warning function reinforces the information displayed on the screen. Using Mitsubishi Electric’s GOT Mobile tool provides real-time machine visualisation to remote devices such as tablets, smartphones and PCs. It improves productivity and reduces total cost of ownership for machinery makers.

Wide range of third- party drivers

Importantly the GOT HMIs offer simple connectivity, with a choice of drivers for Mitsubishi products and popular controllers. This includes GE, Omron, Schneider Electric, Siemens, SMC, SICK, Rockwell and many more.

Mitsubishi HMIs are already widely used in the food and beverage and other traditional manufacturing industries. Further applications for the GOT2507T-WTSD include heavy machinery, parking systems, power conditioners, EV charging stands and shipping/dockside use.
